What We Treat
Gentle. Holistic. Effective.
Whether you have IBS or pain or heartburn – we can help! A normally-functioning digestive tract should NOT come with heartburn or pain or diarrhea or constipation or bloating. Even small adjustments by our doctors can make a huge difference. We are designed to absorb our nutrients through our small intestine. If your stomach isn’t digesting well, your small intestine isn’t absorbing well, and your large intestine (and liver) aren’t eliminating well, then you will not feel well! All other functions in our body depend on good absorption.
Our providers specialize in Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, which is an autoimmune condition affecting the thyroid. We use a combination of thyroid replacement (either synthetic, natural dessicated, or compounded), nutrient and herbal support, in-person treatments, and homeopathic remedies to address the root cause of any hypothyroid condition.
We also treat other autoimmune conditions, including Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and celiac disease.
All of our treatment recommendations and care plans are customized to each patient, since no one is exactly alike.
Low Energy Levels
We see so many patients who tell us they are TIRED! We start with blood work to investigate the cause of the fatigue. It may be anemia, low vitamin status, or low thyroid and adrenal function. You may have sleep apnea or insomnia. Whatever it is, we will work to help you feel better.
A note from our Doctors about thyroid….
Please don’t let a doctor tell you that everything is fine if you don’t feel fine. There are ways to optimize thyroid function, and we take a broader look at thyroid labs than most doctors will. We start with TSH, free T4, free T3, reverse T3, TPO and thyroglobulin antibodies, as well as Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 levels to get a more complete picture of your thyroid. Believe me, I will NEVER tell you that everything is great based on your blood work unless you are also feeling great!
For people who struggle with mental health conditions - like anxiety, depression, and OCD - or who react poorly to pharmaceutical options, naturopathic medicine is a wonderful resource. We use homeopathic, botanical, acupuncture, and amino acids so support neurotransmitters and hormones. We also offer additional resources as needed to best aid our patients in supporting their mental health.
From the time we are babies, our immune systems are learning how to function. We use botanicals, homeopathy, at-home therapies, and the judicious use of conventional antibiotic therapy to support your immune system function. We also love using IV therapy to bypass intestinal absorption and get vitamin C and other nutrients directly into your bloodstream.
Pain is often made worse by nutritional or hormonal imbalances. We consider these along with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory status to build the best treatment plan for you. Treatments may include herbals, prescriptions, PRP or ozone injections (great for joints!), trigger point therapy, or homeopathic remedies.
Other Commonly Treated Conditions
High blood pressure
From heavy periods, to painful cramping, PCOS, irregular bleeding, and mood swings, to perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms, our physicians are here to support you. Often nutritional and herbal support eases symptoms. Bioidentical hormone replacement is a useful tool for many of our patients. We will explain all the options - whether transdermal cream, sublingual tablets, or pellets inserted under the skin. We are conservative with our dosing, and take great care in following up with you to ensure the best treatment.
I use the illustration of a plane landing; the plane has to get from the air to the ground. But if it takes a 90 degree turn and plummets into the ground, there will be a problem! It's the same with your hormones - the more dramatic the shift, the more it can wreak havoc. We use herbals or bHRT (bioidentical hormone replacement therapy to "land the plane gently". A gentle glide into menopause makes everyone happier!

A Word from the Doctor...
The most common symptoms I see as women approach menopause are insomnia, hot flashes, night sweats, and severe mood fluctuations. This often comes with fatigue, depression, low motivation and nonexistent libido. You do not need to suffer through this!
